Here are some examples of on-line resources suitable for learners with English as an additional language.

Key Stage 1 and 2

• A series of three photopacks giving good quality photographs to be used for learning vocabulary. These materials are posted on the Bristol EMAS site. These photographs are pdf files that can be downloaded and printed:

• parts of the body (hair eyes, feet, noses etc) from people from different nationalities
• healthy eating
• pushes and pulls.

Key Stage 3 and 4

• Acids and Alkalis. Interactive science teaching in Arabic, Bengali, English, Chinese and Somali. Flash player required.
• Water Science: A sit run by the US Geological Survey which has diagrams, maps, quizzes and a diagram of the water cycle in 30 different languages.
